Lucía Jamett is
a Chilean social worker from the University of Chile. She has a degree in Human
Rights at the Federal University of Río de Janeiro. She also has a Master in
Urbanism in the Oxford University and a Ph.D. degree in Gender Studies at the
University of California where was student of Judith Butler. His academic
publications are related to Public Policies, Human Rights and Climate Change.
She has worked with settle movements as UKAMAU and MPL. She also taught the
class of Epistemology and the class of Public Policies in the Department of
Social Work at University of Chile and the class of Social Justice at Alberto
Hurtado University. Currently, she is working in the Housing and Urbanism
Ministry in the public policies development area. One of her main projects has
been the improvement of accessibility to social housing. In parallel, she
manages the ONG called Friends for the Planet focused in promotes awareness about
climate change.
Lucía Jamett has
always been a huge fan of drama. In her spare time she read and does theatre.
She has received an Oscar Prize for her role in the remake of Titanic.
